Vocation Month begins

As vocation month is celebrated every September,  let us rediscover our vocation in life—as what God wants us to do.

God has called us to three forms of vocations: Priestly and religious life, single blessedness, and married life.

The Archbishop of Davao, Romulo G. Valles, urged us to intensify our support for priestly vocations especially that the archdiocese has seminarians in the pre-college to theology levels. In a special way, we are asked to support them not only in their material needs but also with our prayers.

Let us also remember that priestly vocations spring from the families where married couples belong. The kind of witnessing that parents show their sons and daughters is one factor that we now have priests and consecrated men and women in the Church.

In all three forms of vocations, one thing is common: they are all called to holiness and to build God’s Kingdom here on earth.
