UIC Com Arts Students mark 1st Issue of Newspaper

To have their taste on the real world of Journalism, the Communication Arts Students of the University of Immaculate Conception, Davao City produced the first issue of Frontline newspaper.

During the Blank Page: The Print Convention 2014, October 23 at the Club Velvet, the students unveiled the first issue of their newspaper as part of their final project for the first semester of 2014-2015.

The class is under the guidance of Professor Mark Roel Narreto who inspired them to gather news and write articles for their Journalism class.
The students were also awarded with certificates for the different stories they produced for Frontline newspaper.

Journalists were also invited to give their inspirational messages and gave them tips on how to become journalists someday.

To end the activity, Narreto told the students the famous line from a movie: “With great power comes great responsibility.” (@johnfrancesf)
