Jesus’ Law

People tend to take the laws of the gospel for granted, yet they are quite basic and most important for peace and harmony in our world. Jesus teaches us not to judge others but we keep on pointing accusing fingers and guns to shoot at others. That leads to self-destruction. Look at the wars and battles that have cost thousands and missions of lives, and destroyed nations. When you judge others you not only add what’s not your problem to yours but build a wall between you and your neighbor. Don’t keep pointing the blame on others. Look inside yourself. Peace comes first from inside. Drive out the anger, the hatred, the judgmental attitude from your heart.

“So why do you pay attention to the speck in your brother’s eye while you have a log in your eye and are not conscious of it? How can you say to your neighbor: ‘Friend, let me take this speck out of your eye,’ when you can’t remove the log in your own? You hypocrite! First remove the log from your own eye and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your neighbor’s eye” (Luke 6:451-42).

It’s time we consider seriously and constantly ponder upon the teachings of Jesus telling us that love is humble, patient and forgiving (1 Cor. 13). If you do not understand His words, look at His life, because it speaks louder than words. (see the story of the Pharisee and the Publican in Luke 18:9-14 that tells about the two kinds of people that there are).
