Knights’ tribute to Davao clergy held

The Archdiocese of Davao’s K of C celebrates annually the Columbus Day in honor of the Catholic explorer, Christopher Columbus for discovering and for bringing the Christian faith to the new world.

Locally, priests of Davao were given tribute on October 9-10, 2016 in one of the hotels here in the City.

Ten color corps honor guards commanded by Sir Knight/ DD Jose Maria B Jimenez, Diocesan marshal-Davao North, led the entrance of dignitaries such as Abp. Romulo G. Valles and Msgr. Abel Apigo with 18 other priests, and the 136 knights with family members.

Sir Knight Reynaldo C. Trinidad, Mindanao Jurisdiction C-95 Deputy and other state officers conveyed their fraternal solidarity with Davao clergy, while Sir Knight Antonio B. Ulat, Asst. Diocesan Coordinator (Davao North-West) gave the privilege speech and was responded by Fr. Emmanuel M. Gonzaga, parish priest of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Maa.

Thirty eight new members attended by the K of C members last October 9 at the Sta. Ana Shrine Parish. They underwent the first degree exemplification rituals at the same hotel. (Sir Butch Andama)
