“To proclaim the joy of believing”

“To be here today, to manifest our faith, our faith in Jesus our Lord, our faith in the community that he has founded/formed, in fact we say we are His body–the community of the church. The gift of our own vocation in life, the beautiful vocation of marriage given to many of you, the opportunity to raise up children to be children of God–to raise them up in the faith, the beautiful calling of religious life. But altogether as a community, that gift which is in our hearts–the joy of believing,” matud niya.

Maong iyang gipanghimangno: “We who are in the core, in the center of the city, let us be aware, nourish and nurture that gift of faith and radiate that sense of faith to our neighbors — be like a leaven, a light in the darkness.”

Nga ang matag usa adunay “sense of mission to proclaim the joy of believing.” Peter was literally in jail, in us, it could be our ambitions, it could be our pride, our poverty, the burden of wealth, horror of addiction and horror of our mistakes, in the middle of the darkness and hopeless situation the light of God and Jesus might be seen and prayer will help us see the light.”

I have mentioned the gift of faith, to have faith in crisis, and lastly about how this faith will carry us and sustain us, all this is nothing but a journey, not just a journey with our mission but a journey to heaven, may Sts. Peter and Paul intercede for us.”
