St. James as an inspiration to the youth

Celebrating his feast day on July 25th, the youth must learn to be inspired by the example of St. James, the Great. One is that he was among the close companions in almost every important event in the life and ministry of Jesus. The youth of today should also be proud to be part of the important ministry of the Church by contributing their talent especially in the use of social media.

Second, the youth, like St. James must learn to stand being tried even to the point of offering their very lives for the country and for the Lord as a martyr. The youth of today should not be afraid to stand alone for the teachings of the Church like love of chastity, accepting oneself as man or woman, and the sanctity of marriage.

And third, just as St. James went for mission from Jerusalem to Spain, we salute our young people, who as a religious or as a member of their communities, go for mission. Some of them have sacrificed their profession just to make Christ known and loved.

There are so many ways for the youth of today to be inspired by the example of St. James in bringing the Good News to the world. St. James, pray for us!
