The seminar for the last group, which is Worship, was held on November 8, 2025, attended by Pangulo sa Liturhiya (PSL), EMHC, LitCom, Lay Minister, Music Ministry, Arts and Environment, LCM, Knights of the Altar, Projector Operator, Text and Rite, Gift Gatherers, Legion of Mary, Divine Mercy Apostolate, El Shaddai, CCRS, Adoracion Nocturna, Knights of Columbus, Workers of Mary, Rosa Mystica, and Alliance of Two Hearts.
The formation session focused on the Eucharist and the family, where Pope Francis’ book Amoris Laetitia means “The Joy of Love,” the title of an Apostolic Exhortation by Pope Francis on marriage and family life. It also deepened the understanding of Synodality, when and how it started. Synodality means “walking together” and listening to each other. The synod process is a journey, and the importance of the life and mission of the church. The theme for Synodal Church is communion, participation, and mission.
Synod of the Family highlights the pastoral approach to those in difficult marital situations, encouraging discernment, mercy, and gradual growth. It emphasizes that the Church is a pilgrim people Journeying together, sharing talents, time, and treasure and to be grateful to God through Spirituality on Stewardship (SOS), making it as a way of life.
As baptized Christians, we share in the threefold ministry of Jesus: Priestly, Prophetic and Kingly.
Marriage as a Sacrament – Marriage is a Sacrament because it is considered a public sign of the covenant between Christ and the Church, instituted by Christ to be a lifelong, unbreakable bond. It is a sacred relationship that allows spouses to give themselves completely to one another and receive divine grace to perfect their love, strengthen their unity, and sanctify them.
Domestic Church – Marriage is a gift, which is why a family is called the Domestic Church. A place of formation in faith, prayer, and where children learn to love and serve God, where parents are the first catechists. When the family is united, with love, prayer, and trust in God, this is where the Eucharist enters. The Joy of Love experienced by families is also the joy of the Church.
Pastoral Care in St. Joseph Parish to the parishioners are the Seven Sacraments, Hot Meals on Wheels, Food Bank for Indigents, Pabalay ni San Jose, Medical and Dental Consultation, and other services.
The Eucharist Heart of the Family Life – Eucharist is a pillar, the foundation of the family and strengthening the Family’s unity in Christ. It serves as the spiritual nourishment for the family, making the “domestic church”. Love, unity, forgiveness, and missionary witness, make the Eucharist the heart of the family. Receiving the Eucharist is a sign that we are united with Christ and so, there must be unity among ministry leaders and GKK members. If we want to live the Eucharist we received, we must forgive.
Walking together in Faith – Pope Francis envisions the Church as a “Synodal Church”, a community that walks together in faith, listening to the Holy Spirit and to one another. This synodal dimension transforms family life in beautiful ways:
- Faithful Journey – Parents and children journey together in faith, supporting one another through life’s seasons and challenges.
- Listening Hearts – Families practice listening and discernment at home, inspired by the Church’s synodal spirit of patient dialogue.
- Eucharistic Formation – Participation in the Eucharist teaches families to listen to the Word, share life authentically, and go forth in mission.
Many were happy to have attended the Renewal Formation, as they said it provided a deeper understanding of sharing the Eucharist within each family and further strengthened their faith and hope in the Lord.
Fr. Roy mentioned that after the Formation, the Sending Forth will be held on November 18, together with the General Assembly, where suggestions and opinions of GKK members, and each ministry, will be accepted and listened to, as well as the policies and programs of the Parish, so that there will be mutual understanding. He also said that the goal of the parish is to provide excellent services not only to parishioners but also to those who work in the church, thereby fostering unity in strengthening, deepening our faith, trust, and hope in God.
