Vocation: Called In Communion, Sent In Mission
Embracing the call and of God’s will is truly remarkable as it sustains and harnesses the strength of faith and a unique invitation from Him. When Rev. Fr. Orlando Angelia, Parish Priest of the St. Mary of Perpetual Rosary Parish, Buhangin, Director of the Archdiocesan Family & Life Apostolate (FLA) alongside the Family & Life Apostolate (FLA) and Pangulo Sa Kristohanong Banay (PSKB) Ministry headed by Brod. Maurillo and Sis. Delia Frias with the Parish Youth Ministry (PYM), has empowered us as Vocation Promoters in our parish, a kind response to this mission and encourages us to be more devoted to the Almighty Father.
The Vocation Symposium/Vocation Fest was successfully launched last November 08, 2025, Saturday with a theme, “VOCATION: CALLED IN COMMUNION, SENT IN MISSION” which began with a Thanksgiving and Holy Eucharist celebration at our parish church at 8:00 in the morning officiated by Rev. Fr. Ronald Arcillas, Director of Davao Vocation Promoters for the Archdiocese of Davao, Rev. Fr. Orlando Angelia and other guests priest attended said event. Before the mass concluded, the vocation promoters, FLA/PSKB and PYM were sent forth by Fr. Ronald Arcillas. After the mass, followed the program proper held at the parish gym.
It was a great, successful and inspiring event in which one hundred sixty-eight (168) participants from different GKKs actively participated and communed at the said venue together with our vibrant guests and visitors coming from different religious congregations. A fulfilling experience because God truly cares for His workers, shapes our path with strength and resilience in life. Our Vocation Promoter lead couple Bro. Andres & Sis. As vocation promoters, we are sent to witness the divine love, to bring Christ’s message to others, be a good steward applies to all states of life-priesthood & religious life, single blessedness and married life. This mission is a natural outflow of our relationship with God and His church, an active manifestation of our faith. To God be the glory! (Dinah B. Gonzer, FLA/PSKB | Photos by Ralph Louie Young)
