A Pastor Lay Leader recognized as one of the Outstanding Women by the Philippine Faces of Success
Victoria Estoque was feeling grateful and blessed as she was recognized as an Outstanding Woman of the Philippines Pastoral Lay Leader on the 6th Philippine Faces of Success 2025: A Celebration of Filipino Achievement and Charity on March 29, 2025, in Teatrino Promenade in Greenhills, San Juan City.
According to Estoque, she was told that she was chosen to receive such an award because of her important role in the formation of now successful individuals who were youth leaders in the past.
“You deserve this award. You were part of our formation in the past. We are who we are now because of your leadership back then in the Youth Apostolate of Davao.”
These were the few words shared to her when she asked why she was included in the list of awardees.
Recalling what Estoque experienced in journeying with the youth, she said, “Being youth is a transition period of one’s life. I joyfully journeyed with them, being young myself. Together, we creatively discover our talents and use them for evangelization. Our journeying together resulted in friendship and even treated us as a family in the Youth Apostolate.”
Estoque, being a mother of two young people, will continue living her life with zeal and passion in sharing the love of Christ to others.
She emphasized the importance of prayer as a constant form of communication to the source of love that is God.
“That I may know God more clearly, love Him more dearly, and follow Him more closely, everyday,” Estoque added.
The 6th Philippine Faces of Success 2025 event honors individual Filipinos and organizations making transformative impacts within their respective fields including business, arts, and education.
It recognizes individuals who are making a big difference in their communities through their perseverance, diligence, and inspiring achievements that define the spirit of the Filipinos and beyond. (Maria Jasmine Abrao and Ayah Deniega)
