Pens, Press, and Passion: 1st Campus Journalism Expo
More than 60 student-writers from Teresian Daughters of Mary (TDM) managed schools together with their campus paper moderators attended the 1st Campus Journalism Exposition. The campus journ expo was organized by the Holy Cross College of Sasa, Inc. The aim of the activity was for the participants expected to learn new knowledge about mass media communications; write articles which are good for Catholic schools; and appreciate the importance of campus press.
The topics discussed are the following: Catholic Journalism presented by Fr. Ritsche Gamaya; Feature Writing shared by Prof. Rowena Nuera; and Mobile Journalism discussed by Editha Caduaya.
Rev. Fr. Gamaya was telling the young writers of the goodness and relevance of Catholic Journalism especially amidst the spread of fake news in the social media. According to Fr. She also focused her discussion on the challenges of mobile journalism related to ethics, misinformation, and legal implications.
