The Legacy of Catechesis in DaDiTaMa

The 9th DaDiTaMa Catechetical Convention, held from September 19-21, 2024, in Davao City, highlighted the vital role of catechists as stewards of the Word in the Synodal Church. Emphasizing dialogue, listening, and community, the event celebrated the Church’s mission to form and spread the faith in a collaborative and inclusive manner. Coinciding with this, the 55th anniversary of the John XXIII Catechetical Center (JCC) marked a milestone in the Archdiocese of Davao’s dedication to catechesis.

JCC’s decades-long contribution to Catholic education has nurtured spiritual growth and deepened understanding of the Gospel. As the Archdiocese reflects on this legacy, it also renews its call to every faithful to participate in the ongoing mission of evangelization. This celebration is not only a recognition of past achievements but an invitation to embrace the Church’s mission, rooted in mercy and the teachings of Christ.
