6th VisMin Conference of Sto Padre Pio Prayer Groups 2025

Padayon sa Paglaum: A Journey of Hope with Padre Pio

Faith-filled pilgrims and devotees gathered at Davao City during the 6th VisMin Conference of Sto. Padre Pio Prayer Groups held last August 23–24, 2025, at the Grand Men Seng Hotel, Pichon Street, Poblacion District.

Carrying the theme ‘Padayon sa Paglaum’ (Continue in Hope), the event aims to bring together prayer groups from Visayas and Mindanao in a two-day encounter of reflection, prayer, and celebration, inspired by the enduring legacy of St. Padre Pio.

The official emblem of the conference captures the heart of the theme: Padre Pio gazes toward the cross with the Philippines in the backdrop, embraced by the waves and the rising sun, while the Holy Spirit hovers above. The words, ‘My past, O Lord, to Your Mercy; My present to Your Love; My future to Your providence,’ highlight the faithful surrender that defined Padre Pio’s life and continues to inspire believers.

The program opens on the first day with arrival, registration, and an opening liturgy, followed by a welcome program. The morning sessions will include a biblical-theological reflection on hope and an in-depth discussion of St. Padre Pio’s perspective on hope. In the afternoon, participants will experience praise and worship, along with a session on being prophets of hope in today’s broken world. The highlight of the day is the Holy Eucharistic Celebration at San Pedro Cathedral, followed by dinner and fellowship.

The second day begins with Holy Hour and prayer, leading into the fourth session entitled ‘Pilgrims of Hope.’ After moments of sharing and a health break, the conference will culminate with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided over by Most. Rev. George B. Rimando, D.D., Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Davao.

Organizers emphasize that the gathering is not only a time for learning and sharing but also an opportunity for renewal of faith and deepened devotion. As participants from across Visayas and Mindanao come together, the message of ‘Padayon sa Paglaum’ resounds as a beacon of trust in God’s mercy, love, and providence especially in this Jubilee Year of Hope.
