APeer tayo, KakamPeer Kami
Last September 4, 2025, 10 proud Petreans—Jan Ezmyel Sabaricos, Keith Yuan Pagnanawon, Klier Marie Guardian, Cheska Cano, Kisha Nicole Alcoser, Ciaela Rica Manapol, Isabella Monleon, Stephanie Base, Shuri Margarette Terencio, and Quadrill Alegria—took part in Project KakamPeer 2025, a high school peer counseling program held at Ateneo de Davao University that aims to champions youth involvement in raising awareness on the importance of mental health.
Together with them were the Project KakamPeer alumni from SPCT—Jorine Deala, Ethan Quarl Siton, and Pearl Keith Dennisse Presas—who continue to inspire and guide the new batch of peer counselors in carrying forward the mission of the program.
Through Project KakamPeer 2025, the students discovered the power of peer support in promoting mental and emotional well-being. They joined meaningful workshops and activities that honed their skills in empathy, active listening, and creating safe spaces for others. More than a training, it was a transformative experience—shaping them into compassionate companions and responsible advocates who are ready to make a difference not only in school, but also in the larger community.
