Hope for Vocations
The vocation to holiness is for everyone – marriage, priestly and religious life, single blessedness. That is why, Vocation Month was launched last November 1, Solemnity of All Saints. How can we help give hope for vocations?
Healing, Organizing, Praying, Engaging.
Help heal wounds brought about by hurts experienced beginning with the family, community and country. Make each one realize our need for healing by building one’s family responsibility, or faithfully responding to God as priests and religious, or faithfully by contributing oneself as single blessed.
Participate in organizing events through the Archdiocesan Commission on Vocations with Fr. Ronald Arcillas as Director. During the launching more than a hundred religious attended the opening Mass. There are still organized campaigns in the parishes this month with lay collaborators to assist our faithful in discerning their vocation in life.
Spend time praying to the Lord of the harvest to send laborers in His vineyard. The diaconal ordination in the Archdiocese of Davao this coming November 21 must be an answered prayer for us to have future ministers after the heart of the Savior.
Create engaging opportunities at home, in school or in the parish for the youth to sanctify themselves as married persons, or as priests and religious, as one called to single blessedness. If there are engagements offered, they may slowly be prepared for the choice of their vocation.
Indeed there is so much hope for vocations since it is Christ, who is our Hope, who touches hearts to respond to Him.
