San Francisco de Asis Parish Holds Advent Recollection for Ministry Members and GKK Leaders

November 30, 2025 — San Francisco de Asis Parish joyfully opened the Advent season with a meaningful recollection attended by parish ministry members and GKK leaders. Guided by this year’s theme, “Preparing Hearts for Christ: Renewing Faith, Serving Justice, and Living Intergrity,” the gathering sought to deepen the spiritual readiness of the faithful as they journey toward the celebration of Christ’s birth.

The parish invited Mr. Anthony Polistico, one of the dedicated campus ministers of Ateneo de Davao University, as the resource speaker for the event. With his profound reflections and approachable style, Mr. Polistico led the participants to a deeper understanding of the call to renew personal faith, uphold justice in daily life, and live with integrity amid the challenges of the world today. His message encouraged everyone to reflect on their spiritual disposition and to align their actions with the values of the Gospel.

As the recollection progressed, a simultaneous confession was also offered to all attendees. This provided a sacred space for personal renewal, allowing participants to experience the healing grace of God through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Many took the opportunity to seek forgiveness, embrace peace, and prepare their hearts more fully for the coming of Christ.

The event concluded with a sense of renewed hope and unity within the parish community. The open Advent recollection served not only as a moment of reflection but also as a collective commitment to journey together in faith, justice, and integrity as the parish enters this holy season.
