Superior: “I hope to see more women in our congregation”

“TAs the first forewarning of coming winter make themselves felt,
An autumn of brilliance and beauty ushered in.
The energies which in earlier life were fully occupied with
The inner and the outer adaptation are released.
From that arduous task and shine forth in pure beauty,
The time of the beginning of wisdom, a transformation is seen.”

– From the book, “All for Women”

Superior General
Teresian Daughters of Mary

We thank the Lord in this 40th year anniversary of the TDM which carries the theme: “Looking back…Thanking God…Moving on with Mary.

Looking back, just a quick look at the year that was 1974, a group of brave pious women came to Davao and presented themselves to the late Most Rev. Antonio Ll. Mabutas to be their founder.

Thanking God, they survived the strenuous and heart-breaking religious reformation.
Moving on with Mary, the Teresian-Marian Spirit prime movers of the TDM: Sr. Ma. Rebecca Palomo, Sr. Ma. Lourdes Paclibar, Sr. Ma. Luz Liza, Sr. Ma. Lina Salinas, Sr. Ma. Ignacia Papna and joining in Heaven with our founder were Sr. Ma. Bernadette Roldan and Sr. Gaudiosa Racho.

Of course, we underwent in human conditions what a 40-year old lady had in her spiritual-growth years.
But, yes, we’ve moved on with Mary, our Lady of Sorrow, strengthen us all the way through/with the guiding spirit of our loving founder, Papa Tony.

Enlivening us as well, the ever-supportive Emeritus Abp. of Davao, the fatherly care of Abp. Romulo Valles, that in spite of his very hectic schedule is here with us, the brotherly concern of Rev. Fr. Bill Larouse and diocesan clergy, and to all our brother priests, religious sisters and friends for the prayers, love, and generous support.

Yes, we’ve looked back…thanked God… and Moved on with Mary all because of YOU!

Congratulations TDM sisters! Thank you for all your support to the media apostolate. Send in your vocation stories via our e-mail.

Let us tie that KNOT. ‘Til next kwentuhan, higala! -Cheng Vilog
