How God’s Revelation Was Passed On

God’s Word did not appear out of nowhere. It was handed down person to person, heart to heart, through:

  1. Sacred Tradition (Oral Transmission): The Apostles preached what they heard from Jesus, what they witnessed with their own eyes, and what the Holy Spirit revealed to them. Ito ang buháy na “Tradition” ng Simbahan — buháy, humihinga, at nililipat ang tamang pananampalataya – from generation to generation.
  2. Sacred Scripture (Written Transmission): The same message was later written down under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit by the Apostles and their close collaborators — kaya nabuo ang Biblia. As St. Luke says (Lk. 1:1–4): “I investigated everything accurately… so that you may know the certainty of the teachings you received.”

The Magisterium

To keep the full and living Gospel intact, the Apostles appointed bishops as successors — the guardians and authentic teachers of the faith.

The Result?

Scripture + Tradition safeguarded by the Magisterium – form one sacred deposit of Divine Revelation that continues to guide the Church today.

Reflection Question for Viewers: Do you see the Bible as a book only, or as part of a living voice that still speaks through the Church today?
