From nutrition to nourishment

The month-long celebration dedicated to nutrition this July is a blessing for us. This awakens us of the science and processes of obtaining and using chemical substances from food.

Moreover, this impels us to take action in providing nourishment to the poorest of the poor in our society. We may better challenge ourselves by asking what action have we done or can do in order to mitigate malnutrition or lack of nourishment among our needy brothers.

Thanks to the Archdiocesan Nourishment Center (ANC) spearheaded by the Archdiocesan Council for Kay Apostolate and Integrated Movements in the Archdiocese of Davao. With Msgr. Paul Cuison and the board of directors, ANC centers are able to offer nourishment to hundreds of children daily in some parts of the Archdiocese. Supporting such programs of nourishment that caters to daily basis for beneficiaries is worth more than an expression of this month’s celebration.

May Jesus, our nourishment in the Eucharist, make us integrally nourished in our journey of life.
