Diocese Conducts Season of Creation Symbolic Opening

The Diocese of Mati headed by Most Rev. Abel C. Apigo, D.D. made a symbolic tree planting for the DADITAMA SUB-REGION in order to formally open the Season of Creation 2026 with the theme “Living Water!”

Bp. Apigo was assisted by the Director for Integral Ecology Ministry Rev. Fr. Rey M. Armasa, DCM, together with other priests in the Diocese namely, Rev. Fr. Donald V. Fernandez, DCM (Rector of the Seminary), Rev. Fr. Richard P. Labo, DCM (Chancellor), Rev. Fr. Dave L. Felizardo, DCM (Asst. Pastoral Director), and Rev. Fr. Ruben D. Bentayao, Jr., DCM (Superintendent).

Ms. Arlene Redulla I, the Ecology Coordinator of the Diocese, facilitated in the collection of planting materials for the said activity.

In addition, the Propaedeutic seminarians helped in the planting of the trees. This is a way inculcating to the future priests the love of the environment!
