Pray, Let the “President”…

By Zoe Vidal

I humbly propose we stop unfairly attacking Noynoy Aquino. Seriously. The truth is already out: he is a socio-political retardate, and that is not all his fault. He has been suffering from a mental disorder to begin with, in addition to the baggage of traumas that he and his family have borne and
have not been sufficiently healed of. In the meantime, there are forces surrounding him that are exploiting his presence in Malacañang, and making a mockery of our Constitution, our already handicapped Legislature, and our battered Judiciary.

Without intending to, Aquino has brought to the fore the hidden weaknesses of our police and military institutions, where the corruption of the best has for many years been the worst. Let the PNP and the AFP officers and elements take a good look at themselves, be honest, and repent of their twisted economics of weaponry and procurement, machismo and inordinate trigger-happiness, of personal attachments and favoritism that mock discipline, fairness, and the chain of command. Let the finger-pointing stop and the healing begin. It is not unmanly for men in uniform to weep, but also for their own faults.

Perhaps mercy and compassion dictate that we let Noy go—and ASAP—because he has already mishandled too many issues. To name a few: the Luneta hostage crisis, population and RH issues, natural disasters
including Yolanda, the aggravation of our “electoral” economy, Sabah and the Bangsamoro, and now the war on terror. National security, stability, the territory and patrimony of the nation are at stake, and underlying all that are the lives of unborn citizens and the stability of marriage and the Filipino family.

Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Noynoy?  Well, he plays computer games. If you are in a quandary, IMHO, you could at least pray for deliverance. The next step would be to pray for light and clarity—not just for the Philippines, but in charity, also for Noynoy and his family.

May the Lord reveal to each of us what He wants us to do next. Please forward these to friends and family. We have nothing to lose in praying.
