Holy Childhood

There is no one who ever had a holy childhood except our LORD JESUS.

HIS “THY will be done” at HIS agony in the garden rang true since before HIS birth. While on earth, HE was GOD even as a baby, was GOD even as a child of Mary, was GOD as HE spoke in the temple, was GOD as HE mingled, corrected, led, taught HIS followers. All these, and HIS passion and death, were in obedience to the FATHER’s will. JESUS embodied obedience.

Yet, in all HIS majesty, JESUS chose to be born of Mary — yes, immaculate, but of human flesh and blood. So were St. Joseph, St. Lorenzo Ruiz, St. Pedro Calungsod, and all other saints, all human like us.

Holiness is possible with GOD. As GOD has created us, and as HE wills, HE can re-create us to aspire for a spiritual holy rebirth. GOD is able to make us holy at any age. Heart to heart with JESUS and Mother Mary, we too bow to be holy as our FATHER is holy as renewed children of GOD.
