UPMin mock-election results out

The “Pulso ng UP Mindanao” mock-election results showed Mayor Rodrigo Duterte winning a landslide with 70% of votes casted. Senator Miriam Santiago came in second with 20% of the votes. Trailing were Mary Grace Natividad Poe-Llamanzares (.06%), Manuel Roxas II (.04%), and Jejomar Binay and Roy Seneres (.02%).

Among vice-presidentiables, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano led with 53% of votes while Congw. Maria Leonor Robredo came in second with 25% of votes. Trailing were Ferdinand Marcos Jr. (8%), Francis Joseph Escudero (2.2%), Antonio Trillanes (2.1%), and Gregorio Honasan II (.07%).

Among the senatorial candidates, at number 1 to number 13 were Juan Miguel Zubiri, Ana Theresia Hontiveros-Baranguel, Richard Gordon, Neri Colmenares, Francis Pangilinan, Sergio Osmena III, Franklin Drilon, Panfilo Lacson Sr., Ralph Recto, Leila de Lima, Sherwin Gatchalian, Joel Villanueva, and Teofisto Guingona III.

In the party-list roster, the parties who got 2% or more of vote casted were (in descending order) Kabataan Party-List, Gabriela Womens’s Party, Akbayan Citizen’s Action Party, Pwersa ng Bayaning Atleta, ACT Teachers Party-List, Advocacy for Teacher Empowerment through Action Cooperation and Harmony Towards Educational Reforms, Global Workers and Family Federation, and Alyansa ng mga Grupong Haligi ng Agham at Teknolohiya para sa Mamamayan.

In the local congressional posts, the incumbents led the number of votes in their respective districts, while Alberto Ungab led Karlo Bello in the third district.
   
Among the candidates for Davao City offices, the Duterte siblings led the counts for Mayor and Vice-Mayor. For councilor in the 1st District, in the number 1-9 positions were Maria Belen Sunga-Acosta, Leah Librado-Yap, Bonifacio Militar, J. Melchor Quitain, Pilar Braga, Leonardo Avila III and Edgar Ibuyan Jr. (tied), Joanne Bonguyan, and Nilo Abellera Jr.

For councilor in the 2nd District, leading were Maria Cherry Ann Bonguyan and Danilo Dayanghirang (tied), AlRyan Alejandre and April Marie Dayap (tied), Marissa Salvador Abella, Jimmy Dureza, Diosdado Angelo Mahipus Sr., and Dante Apostol and Mar Masanguid (tied).

For councilor in the 3rd District, leading were Bernard Al-ag, Jesus Zozobrado Jr., Luzviminda Ilagan and Myrna Dalodo-Ortiz (tied), Victorio Advincula Jr. and Conrado Baluran (tied), Rene Elias Lopez and Antoinette Principe-Castrodes (tied), and Joselle Villafuerte.

A total of 438 faculty, students and staff voted, representing 29% of the electorate, from 27-29 April, using automated software created by a student in the BS Computer Science program.
