Christ, Mary never left us

The Lord commanded them to go and preach the Good News to the world, and that He will be with them till the end of the age. (Mt. 28:19-20) “That He will be always with them” is perhaps the reason why as they went home, they were rejoicing. The Lord did not really leave us. He is now present to each one of us in our hearts.

Thus, the happiness the disciples felt (Lk. 24:52-53) in spite of the difficulties that lie ahead of their task. However, it is also good to remember that His “yoke is sweet.” The rest is history.

The Church continues to march towards the Truth in spite of the tribulations and purifications, though ever a sign of contradiction, like Christ Himself as rightly predicted by Simeon during His presentation at the temple. (Lk. 2:34-35). Let us also go to our Blessed Mother, for she too will never leave us.
