Holy Relic of Blessed Father Mariè-Eugène of the Child Jesus to arrive in Davao

The holy relic of the holy Carmelite Blessed Father Mariè-Eugène of the Child Jesus who was beatified last November 19, 2016 in Avignon, France will arrive in the Carmelites Monastery in Bajada. I will be the presider of a concelebrated Mass in honor of Blessed Marie Eugene and other rites of veneration of the holy relic on Friday, October 21, 2017 at 10AM at the Carmelites Monastery church.

In 1932, Blessed Father Mariè-Eugène founded the Secular Institute NOTRE-DAME DE VÍE with Mariè Pila. Its consecrated or vowed members, lay persons and diocesan priests and bishops, strive to bear witness to the Living God while fulfilling the duties of their professions and ministries.

Even before October 21 the following prayer for favors/needs through his intercession may already be used:

“God our Father, we thank you for giving Blessed Father Marie-Eugene of the Child Jesus to the Church.

He journeyed forward united with Christ, moved by the Holy Spirit whom he called his “Friend”.

He lived fully the grace of Carmel uniting contemplative prayer, commitment to mission, and complete trust in the Virgin Mary, Mother of Life.

Make us discover the depths of your love and persevere in prayer so that we may become, like him, witnesses of your Mercy. Through his intercession, grant us the grace we asking for (mention the favor). May his teaching reach all those who need it in their journey of faith. And if it be your will, may he be canonized for the glory of your Name.
