It is now a century since Fatima

The three secrets of Fatima is consist of a series of apocalyptic visions and prophecies which were given to the three young Portuguese shepherds, Lucia Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto, by a Marian apparition starting on May 13, 1917. The three children were visited by the Virgin Mary six times between May and October 1917. The apparition is now popularly known as Our Lady of Fatima.

Since then, the Lady’s messages of conversion, prayer, penance, sacrifice for sinners, and consecration to Her Immaculate Heart has been repeatedly re-echoed with subsequent prophecies that divine justice will soon fall upon mankind if mankind continues to offend God.

One problem about prophecies is that most people believe them only after they come true. Take Noah. No one listened to his warning of a great flood until people watched his ark sail away while rising waters engulfed them.

On October 13, 2017, it will be now a century since Fatima. We wonder what has become of mankind. Have we totally consecrated to Her Immaculate heart? Conversion of heart is never too soon nor too late. God will not have the heart to reject us if we listen to the invitation of Mother Mary who speaks the first words to Francisco, Jacinta, Lucia “Do not be afraid. I will do you no harm.”
