editorial Pro-Life Month

February is Pro-Life month

editorial Pro-Life MonthIn the womb, the unwanted child is in danger of being aborted. A drug addict fears of being killed. The elderly may be a victim of euthanasia. In these situations, we need to become Pro-lifers.

The Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D., President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines and Archbishop of Davao once shared that there are many ways of saying we do not want killings. It is not only through publicity that we may say we are pro-life. One may do it through a friendly whisper. But the question is, will that whisper have an effect? If that whisper would not be heard, will noise and publicity be a guarantee?

In the Archdiocese of Davao, the Sagop-Kinabuhi Part 2, is one of the many ways of saying we are Pro-life. We do not want victims of drugs to be killed by the very decisions they have made in their choice. We want to save them from losing their future. We collaborate with the government and private sectors in letting them find themselves again in society.

What can you do to protect life?
