Redemptorist Youth on Ecological awareness and celebration

The Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish celebrated its annual event for the youth entitled: OMPH YOUTH DAY 2013 themed; “Pagtoo sa Batan-on, Kinaiyahan atong ampingon.” With the entire wondrous and ecological ambiance at the SATMI Gym on June 8, 2013 @ 2pm, the young people were gathered to profess their faith in an “eco-way.”

The event started with a GTKY or “The Getting to Know You” by the 9 zones, followed by series of animations, prayer to the rosary in honor of the National Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary culminated with a Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Nestor Gaspe, CSsR and a talk within the holy mass given by Mrs. Vicky Estoque- Anghag of the Pastoral Agency of the Archdiocese of Davao.

A night program followed with highlighted events namely: Lakan at Lakambini ng Kalikasan 2013 and Youth Got Talent. The youth were given the chance to showcase their talents and test their wits. However, the celebration was not solely intended for this purpose alone, it was celebrated as a renewal of their faith and in strengthening the relationship with their fellow youth servants of Christ. As young leaders who help in taking care of our Nature in their own way can contribute in furthering the kingdom of God on earth through evangelizing our faith accompanied with action.
