ABP. VALLES TO CLERGY:

By Sem. Argie Ybañez/Contributor

“We are coming together as brothers.”

Thus said Archbishop Romulo G. Valles,D.D., the Ordinary of the Local Church of Davao to the Diocesan Clergy of Davao.

Held at D’leonor Inland Resort and Wavepool on May 21, 2013, the Fraternity of the Diocesan Clergy of Davao gather quarterly to celebrate the gift of brotherhood and to strengthen one’s relationship to one another as ordained ministers of Christ.

After the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, Msgr. Edgar Labagala gave a short input that reminded the clergy about the importance of communion.

He emphasized that love comes first in order to be happy and not that we are happy because we are loved. Much more, it is a double celebration for the clergy since it was the birthday of Msgr. Abel Apigo, the Rector of REMASE, who is also the Archdiocesan coordinator of the clergy.

The gathering was also attended by some diocesan theology seminarians from the Archdiocese of Davao. In the afternoon, ball games were played like lawn tennis, basketball and the like which the clergy and seminarians enjoyed.

The event ended with a short program at night.
