OLLP joins vicariate BEC validation

The Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal joined the vicariate BEC validation along with some other lay representatives from San Isidro Labrador Parish, San Pablo Parish, Ascension of Our Lord Parish, and Saint Francis de Assisi Parish which hosted the said validation that was held last July 13, 2013.

Father Dexter Veloso accompanied the OLLP core lay leaders, namely:  Nestor Fruto, Ruben Sumagang, Vinny Bajo, Ana Norbe, Maria Monica Piastro, Teresita Niño, Lily Reston, Elenita Biag, Leonides Lallen, Thelma Bernasor and Vicky Macaday.

With the theme “sa gagmayng katilingban kristohanon, pagtoo magmalamboon”, the vicariate BEC validation was successfully launched by less than a hundred lay delegates from the vicariate as it was facilitated by Archbishop Romulo G. Valles.  He was with Auxiliary Bishop George Rimando along with ten priests, a deacon and a seminarian.

Bishop Rimando shared ecclesiastical foundation of the Basic Ecclesial Community; while Archbishop Valles gave the keynote inspirational message on the BEC validation.
