25 Years and Counting

SVD is a Religious-Missionary congregation that adjusts to the lives of different people anywhere in the world. This may be the reason why formands jump from one place to the other. It is a means of adopting to different cultures.
Language learning is one of the ways for the SVDs to inculturate themselves in a certain society.
It may sound sad since there may be a chance for the Divine Word Formation Center-Davao to be closed and to rather focus itself as a Spirituality Center intended for recollections and retreats.
But this depends on the evaluation of former DWFC seminarians. We still need to pray since there are plenty of vocations for Religious-Missionary Priests and Brothers seen in the huge islands of Visayas and Mindanao. It is still in the hands of the Holy Triune God. In fact, there are a few SVD scholastics (theologians) ready to be ordained soon for priesthood from DWFC-Davao who study at the Divine Word School of Theology, Tagaytay.
To date, there are almost 24 priests, 3 brothers, 17 regents who already served and are serving as formators of the 338 Visayan- speaking seminarians (Witness of the Word Society of the Divine Word Philippines 1909-2009).
