Kwento ng Ordinaryong Tao

“Jun and Belle prayed to God and in fact gave Him a deadline. Fortunately, Jun was hired to a multi-national company. Yet, it was not enough, so they opened this dilemma to their sisters and brothers in their community whom through them the Lord provided well with an excess of P 12.00.”

Dear HERALD,
Here is a story from a couple that I have interviewed months ago.
“Kung gusto mong lumigaya ang iyong buhay, hanapin mo ang Diyos at ibigin nyong tunay…” This lyrics from Andrew E.’s “Humanap ka ng Pangit,” has been seen by them as memorable changing some lines to bring positive meanings.
I’d like to share to you a sacred love story of Cecilio Lim, Jr. II, who loves to be called Jun and Villa Lim, who prefers to be called Belle.
Jun and Belle were married for the last 17 years. Both are members of the Holy Trinity Community known as HTC. HTC is a Catholic Charismatic Community for married couples.
Jun then was assigned in Manila and Belle here in Davao. They were like two lovers from far places and both were active full-time leaders. While their relationship went on, Jun met another girl and committed himself to her. But Jun said, it lasted for only a week. So, Jun’s relationship with Belle continued.
Jun and Belle treated each other as brothers and sisters from one community. Jun was discerning. He prayed intently to God. He was asking whether to get married or be a priest. Jun was asking. He is into a relationship but what if they will break it up? What if they were not meant for each other? But God answered that Belle was meant for Jun which gave him a sign to propose to Belle.
Belle on the other side, also had doubts. She thought of predicaments when Jun would loose his job and the future for their family. These were few of Belle’s questions; very practical and futuristic. But her confidence came from the Lord.
Earlier, she had laid down her three requirements for her future hubby. First, he must be a lover of Lord. He needs to be active and has a dynamic personal relationship with God. Second, he needs to be brave to handle problems. Lastly, he must have a strong sense of humor. In one statement, “…the one who could love me despite all odds.”
God’s providence, that she found all these qualities from Jun. They had their “one-on-one” with their individual elders. And they had seen that they were meant for each other. This was how Jun and Belle went the process before marriage.
Jun pursued Belle. He courted her back to raise it to the next level. Finally, Belle said “Yes” to the proposal of Jun. Then they informed Belle’s Nanay.
A day after, Belle’s Nanay gave her blessing. Jun tendered his resignation prior to the wedding and so they worried a lot. Jun and Belle prayed to God and in fact gave Him a deadline. Fortunately, Jun was hired to a multi-national company. Yet, it was not enough, so they opened this dilemma to their sisters and brothers in their community whom through them the Lord provided well with an excess of P 12.00.
June and Belle said: “Sex is for marriage, marriage is for family, and family is for communities, and communities is for the Kingdom of God.” This inspires both Jun and Belle’s marriage. In fact before they got married, they agreed never to come up to a decision of separation. Truly, they haven’t arrived at that point yet.
The best learning that they had all through this years was, “Never remove the Lord from the scenario. ” Jun has the best and she is Belle. “Let us submit ourselves to the Lord and He will make our path straight. Let us not forget to start right,” ended the couple.(Courtesy: Jhong Magdaherin)
