Tribute to Fathers

“Happy Father’s Day, daddy dear! Thank you for the unconditional love, guidance and support. I love you!”

A girl in her early 20’s posted this status on her wall to show how grateful she is to her father. Surely, seeing this post on the wall of a father’s son or daughter will melt his heart.

Today’s secular observance pays tribute to fathers who are commonly known as provider, protector and sometimes best friend.

As we celebrate Father’s Day today, let us take a look at St. Joseph, the foster father of Christ as our model of a good father.

He may have been a silent figure in the life of Christ but we are sure that he has done his best to raise the child Jesus, just like any father does.

Let us not also rely on our Father in Heaven, who has always been a father to humanity. He has given His only Son to be our savior in order to save us from our sins.

A smile, a hug, a kiss or words of comfort and gratitude may be enough to show how special your father is. Do it as soon as you can for tomorrow might be too late.
