Ateneo High School Holds First Greeneration School to School Campaign

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — How does Climate Change affect you and your school or community? This was the big question asked to the high school students of the Ateneo de Davao University last September 2, 2014 during the Greeneration School to School Workshop conducted by the Climate Change Commission (CCC), the sole policy-making body of the Philippines government which is tasked to coordinate, monitor and evaluate the programs and action plans of the government relating to climate change pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act 9729, also known as the Climate Change Act of 2009.

The campaign is being conducted to different schools, colleges and universities in the country to raise awareness among youth about the causes and effects of climate change and how we can reduce our carbon emission. It also aims to engage everyone in the community to participate in different environmental management programs of the government.
