Converted Pastors to Share at Oasis’ Healing Session

As a response to the challenge posed by Pope Francis to all Charismatics of the Church, Oasis of Love Catholic Charismatic Renewal Communities of Cebu and Davao will hold an “Evangelization and Healing Prayer Session” at San Pablo Parish, Juna Subd., Matina, Davao City on May 19, 2015 (4:00-9:00 PM) with a Mass by Msgr. Paul Cuison, JCD.

Head Servant from Oasis of Love Cebu, Bro. Nonito “Dodong” Limchua, together with his team will lead the Evangelization and Healing Prayer Session to be assisted by the Oasis of Love Davao Community with Fr. Hocson as the Spiritual Director.

Converted pastors coming from different sects and denominations are invited to give their personal testimonies, namely: Bro. Paul Alima (Jehovah’s Witness); Bro. Ronie Castanares (Pentecostal Church), Bro. Sonny Hagos (CAMACOP), and Bro. Boboi Gacrama (Sonship of Jesus Christ).

Archbishop Romulo G. Valles approved the holding of this assembly in his letter dated April 6, 2015 and encouraged all the faithful of the Church, especially members from all Parish GKKs, charismatic and lay communities of the Archdiocese  of Davao to attend in the evangelization and healing prayer session.

Bishop George B. Rimando, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Davao, is the Parish Priest of San Pablo Parish and a brother Bishop of Oasis of Love Catholic Renewal Community while Fr. Hover F. Jocson is the Spiritual Director for the last 7 years now.

Sometime on Sunday, June 1, 2014, Pope Francis spoke to almost 53,000 people gathered in the Olympic Stadium in Rome for the 37th National Convention for the Renewal in the Spirit conference.

He said, “Charismatic Renewal is a great force at the service of the proclamation of the Gospel, in the joy of the Holy Spirit. You received the Holy Spirit that made you discover the love of God for all his children and love of the Word. In the early times it was said that you Charismatics always carried the Bible with you, the New Testament. Do you still do it today? [the crowd]: Yes?! I’m not so sure. If not, return to this first love; always carry in your pocket, in your bag the Word of God! And read a little piece—always with the Word of God.

Pope Francis further said, “I have been asked to tell the Renewal what the pope had expected from you…I expect from you an evangelization with the Word of God which proclaims that Jesus is alive and loves all men.” (Henry Evangelista)
