Samal Celebrates World Teachers’ Day

Amazing, excellent, great, superb, wonderful and happy!

These were the words uttered by more than 1,000 teachers from public and private schools in the Island Garden City of Samal. The local government unit honored the teachers for their unwavering support to the development and education of every Samaleño child last October 2, World Teachers’ Day.

“We have started and continued giving credits to teachers who are heroes. I hope this celebration would continually inspire our teachers to ensure quality teaching to our pupils”, says Mayor Aniano P. Antalan in his message. Only LGU IGACOS pays tribute to all teachers in Region XI which others commemorate only in schools. The LGU awarded teachers who rendered 30 years in service the Achievement of Great Instructional Leadership (AGILA).

Guest speaker Basilio P. Mana-ay, CESE challenged teachers that they are the makers of all the professions in the world. “This is our day, we have all the reasons to enjoy,” he added.

Finally, Schools Division Superintendent (OIC), Eufemia T. Gamutin, CESO VI expressed her gratitude to Mayor Aniano P. Antalan, Vice-Mayor Al David T. Uy, Sangguniang Panglungsod (SP) members, and other heads who made the celebration possible. “We are rejoicing, we are celebrating life. The noblest of all professions—the teaching profession. Ang parokya sa San Miguel Parish, Panacan nagpahigayon og GKK selection/nomination alang sa mga pangulo sa lima ka ministriya nga maoy mangulo sa matag GKK. Kini subay sa bag-ong GKK Norms ang Guidelines sa atong Arkidayosis. Bag-o gihimo ang pagsulat sa balota, gipasabot una ang matag usa sa mga representante sa Parish Pastoral Team. Tulo (3) ka Dominggo ang gigahin alang niining pinili-ay nga matapos karong adlawa. Giawhag ang lumulupyo sa matag GKK nga makapaabot sila sa ilang nominasyon alang sa mga sumusunod nga lumilihok sa matag GKK. Kuha gikan sa Sr. Sto. Niño Relocation GKK.
