LCCP convention marks 9th year

More than a thousand and five hundred lectors, commentators, cantors, and psalmists (LCCP) from the different parishes of the Archdiocese of Davao gathered at the Regional Major Seminary (REMASE) on March 5, 2016 for their 9th LCCP Convention with the theme: YUKARISTIYA: TUBURAN SA KALUOY, GUGMA, KALIG-ON SA PAMILYA.

Through the initiative of ALC (Archdiocesan Liturgical Center), LCCP convention was first held in 2008 with the purpose of gathering together the lectors, commentators, cantors, and psalmists. Thereafter, the Convention was held every first Saturday of March and the first Convention was attended with less than Eight-Hundred participants. Every year the numbers of parish delegates are increasing.

Unlike in the previous years, all parishes sent delegates in this year’s LCCP gathering.

The highlight of the Convention was the Celebration of the Eucharist. Rev. Fr. Joel Caasi (ALC Director) was the resource speaker. (Weng C. Nuera, Sta. Ana Shrine Parish | Photos by Lord Brian)
