Exercising or keeping fit will never be the same way again, because of new inventions like the Jawbone UP3. Never again will you worry about remembering how many steps you have jogged or how many miles you have ran, since the Jawbone does all the work for you.

Jawbone, does not only keep track of your fitness levels, but also takes care of your health, too. This device monitors your heart rate and tells you how many calories you have burned for today.

Not only that, it also has a week-long battery life and is water proof! Devices like these not only change the way we exercise, by making our lives easier but it also changes our mind-set towards exercise. By being able to personally monitor your fitness and health levels; we are more motivated to get out of the house and exercise, thus making more and more people aware of their health and fitness.

QUELL RELIEF

As we age our bodies become more vulnerable and susceptible to joint and nerve pains. Problems like these hinder us from performing our daily duties and keep us from being able to freely move about. However, Quell Relief is a great invention that ditches over the counter medicines that could possibly be harmful to us, especially our kidneys and store bought creams that charge us so much money without even working to soothe the pain.

I see this is as big leap in the advancement of medical technology since it replaces medicines, creams and even the regular knee braces with something that not only woks but can be used over and over again. This not only helps you save money but is good for the environment too, since there less plastic consumption used by medicine manufacturers.

EMBRACE

When we think about wristband trackers, we immediately assume that these devices are only for health buffs or people who go to the gym.

But embrace will change that perception, since not only is it for adults but it is designed for children too. Embrace contains medical grade sensors that monitor children even when they are asleep and give alerts when they are having seizures or heart attacks.

Parents need not to worry and have sleepless nights monitoring their child for any problems, but now can sleep soundly due to Embrace. It truly makes our lives easier and is more convenient too, since you will be able to monitor unusual signs that may lead to health problems. It amazes me how far we have gone in the aspect of technology. What was once a dream or fantasy has become a reality.

TINYCARDS

Ever since, Duolingo has been one of the top apps for learning different languages.

Duolingo provides online access to people who are interested in learning a new language, with an easy to use interface accompanied with fun and interactive games. However, it has been solely for that purpose only.

Now, they have introduced a new game called Tinycards, which help you learn virtually anything that involves memorization, vocabulary, equations and history facts.

This is a great way to encourage children and young adults to learn about things, in a way that they can relate to. It totally changes the way we learn, because instead of just poring over a really thick book on history or math, we can get the answers just by the swipe of a finger or a push of a button, and it’s that easy.

Tinycards, is also more accessible than other written learning devices because it is free to download from the internet unlike written materials that need to be bought or looked for at the library.

KHAN ACADEMY

Education is essential for the growth of every individual. However, there are individuals who have limited access to no access to education due to certain circumstances; like poverty. This is where Khan Academy steps in.

Founder Sal Khan, created an educational program, where videos about different subjects like math, biology, chemistry and physics is free and accessible to all people.

Subject courses are offered for Kindergarten until College. This program is a great advancement in the educational system, because it provides free access to education to basically anyone, which is a great help to millions of children and even adults who have lost hope in learning because they think they will never have a chance at education due to the expenses needed to go to school.
