Be prepared!

Although there are predictable disasters like typhoons and heavy rains, there are also unpredictable ones like earthquakes and fire. That is why, it always pays to be alert and awake at all times because even if we have drills, it is different when real disasters come.

One crisis rescuers face is that, our people find it hard to leave their homes when a flood is still bearable. Another problem is that, some institutions and groups do not participate in drills. And, still another challenge is the laxity in prevention and avoidance of possible risk by submitting to authorities some of the requirements in building ones homes and offices.

When can we truly learn not only to prepare but also to reduce and avoid risks brought about by disasters? How can we be prepared to detach from those that we think we can be safe?

So stay awake, for you do not know the day nor the hour (Mt. 25:13).
