“Who will separate us from the love of Christ?”
The message of no less than the Archbishop of Davao and President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D., on comments about the faith of the Church and the teachings from the Bible is a reassuring exhortation of the meaning and value of what we believe.
It impels us to deepen our faith which we held on since the past centuries. We need to cherish the touching experiences brought to us in the celebration of the Eucharist and the Sacraments, in our veneration of the saints and of Mother Mary.
Let us not forget the mystery of faith we believe. True believers can endure in the midst of confusing words, discouraging deeds and even enforcing armaments and physical powers as part of the challenge in the journey towards perfection. Authentic disciples never rely on bullets that kill but on calmness of hearts that live in peace.
Be peacemakers no matter what, for nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.
