K of C holds Exemplification

Knights of Columbus officials and members at San Miguel Parish in Panacan conducted the 1st degree Exemplification for the new applicants to the knighthood at Barangay Panacan Session Hall last Saturday, April 7.

It was under the supervision of K of C District Deputy Sir Knight Aurelio Llavan, upon the recommendation of Barangay Captain of Panacan, Capt. Doce Apostol, a 1st degree brother of the Catholic organization to conduct it in the Barangay for his interested functionaries.

When D.D Llavan and Capt. Apostol had a conversation with regard to the organization they came up with the idea to conduct it in the session hall of the barangay for accessibility and convenience for the interested functionaries to attend. About 30 Knights attended and formally signed the registration form set for new members of the organization.

Sir Terso Mercado, the Chief of Barangay Police in Panacan allotted his time to attend and be a member of the organization. “Nalipay ako nga naka-attend niini since, I am also an active Catholic ever since,” Sir Mercado said after the Exemplification.

Capt. Apostol manifested his support to them by means of his personal appearance while the Exemplification was conducted. Many functionaries came and attended coming from the different sectors of the barangay.

Sir Knight Roger Tadura, the Officer-in-Charge of the organization here in Mindanao also discussed the main role and objective of the organization, why there is K of C and what are the benefits of it to everyone. It was also assisted by Sir Knight Rogelio Andama, Ernesto Pedrido, Graciano Galendez, Jr., and Wilfredo Rocero. Mindanao Deputy Sir Knight Gerry Mission was also present. (Rusty Salazar Corsame, LPT)
