Father’s Day

Fathers' dayThe world expects a lot from dads. For us Catholics, in the hierarchy of priorities, the topmost in everything belongs to God. Ergo, dads have no excuse. Dads have to learn the Faith in order to be transmitted to the next generation, a generation of holy people who will honor and love God above everything. Let our children see their dads pray before sleeping and upon waking up. Let the children see their dads leading and bringing them to church every Sunday. Let the children see their dads go to confession. These are some of the examples that will etch a load of memories in the minds of the children as they grow up.

For the country, let the children see their dads vote. Let the children see their dads follow traffic rules, dispose the garbage properly, pay taxes, polite and courteous with refinement to everyone. These actions and behavior are some of the examples worthy of observance and emulation.

Notable in the family are dads who not only provide, but also have the energy to help in the chores, tutor the kids, and most of all a tireless lover to a mom who gave him children.

Finally, a dad who is after the heart of the Lord shall never fail in his endeavor in life. How can he fail? O Mary, Queen of the Family, pray for the dads.
