Epiphany
There are so many ways that God employed and continues to employ in order to make himself known. He “appears through” the beauty of his creation. This is called “diaphany”. He also reveals himself in the history of his people. This manifestation is known as “theophany”. But the last and perfect revelation of God is the “epiphany”. God is Emmanuel, God-with-us. He comes for all peoples of various race, color or status. Nobody should feel apart or far from God.
What else shall we wait for? How have we responded to his invitation to partake of his work of salvation for all peoples? Are we keen enough to realize his daily offer of knowing him every minute of our lives?
Take advantage of the concrete offer of encountering the Lord all the time. The joy of the celebration of the holidays, the opportunities to gather in worship as a community, the family reunions that unite us, the blessings we receive in many forms – all of these need not be missed in order to make our spiritual lives away from dichotomy. We should not become a Christian in name only but in reality. We have the whole New Year to continue grab the chance of deepening our insight and experience of God in our midst.
