Flores de Mayo continues despite Covid-19

With the Covid-19 threats still present, religious traditions like Flores de Mayo for the meantime is celebrated without the children gathering to ensure safety.

Flores de Mayo is a tradition in the Philippines in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary wherein children attend the daily catechesis and offer flowers for the Blessed Mother in their respective GKK chapels.

Seeing this situation in the midst of the present crisis, DXGN 89.9 Spirit FM has started the Flores de Mayo on air since May 3 to allow children and even adults to participate at least over the radio or online in the activities for the whole month of May.

Through the rite and catechesis, listeners and viewers were able to learn the teachings and participate in the singing of songs in honor of the Blessed Mother.

Flores de Mayo on air is up every 3:00 PM. (JFF/DCHerald)
