Oplan Tabang Covid now on its third wave of food distribution

The Archdiocese of Davao’s initiative for indigent families affected by the global pandemic is now on its third wave of food distribution.

The Oplan Tabang Covid-19, an initiative led by the Archdiocesan Social Action Center has distributed food packs for 18 parishes in the Archdiocese of Davao last May 9, 2020.

A total of 1,190 packs of rice was distributed to the different parishes during the said date.

Oplan Tabang Covid wants to address the plight of indigent families who are directly affected by the lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic as they have to halt their work.

The initiative caters to 13,714 indigent individuals in coordination with the local government to avoid duplication in the distribution of food packs.

The City Government of Davao has set the Extended Community Quarantine until May 15. (JFF/DCHerald)
