San Pablo Parish is at the Heart

Get a map of Davao City, put your left thumb on where San Pablo Church is and use your point finger (hintuturo) to make a circle, inside that circle will be parts of McArthur Road and Quimpo Blvd. Inside/near the circle are: 1. Mapua, 2. University of Mindanao and 3. Mindanao’s biggest Catholic School and Elementary complex, Ateneo. Along Quimpo Blvd. are: 1. St. John Paul II College, 2. Near San Pablo Church is Phil. Women’s College, 3. Inside SM is a building of a very big blue covered structure to be finished in December 2024, the National University Graduate School (like SM owned by the Sy Family), 4. Inside the Huang Cebu Landmasters 20 hectare commercial complex (the old Davao Golf Club, near the Matina Cockpit) De La Salle Graduate School Complex (finished by 2025). The National University and De La Salle buildings will be the biggest graduate school compounds outside Manila. Today, the McArthur road portion with Mapua, UM and PWC already have the biggest number of PhD and Masteral degree Teachers in Mindanao.

By 2025, when N.U and De La Salle are fully open the number of teachers with PhD and Masteral degrees will double. Maybe it’s true that the San Pablo Parish is the Mindanao intellectual center. It’s possible that the San Pablo Parish is also Mindanao’s: 1. Medical Analysis, 2. Condominium Center, 3. Food Center, and 4. Lodging Center. Within the Circle is 1. 100 beds Hospital which opened in 2023 with the latest medical gadgets, equipment, 2. Alexian Brothers Diagnostics, and 3. The Matina Medical Diagnostic, in front of SM.

Condominium Center. 1. Consunji Complex near St. John Paul II College and Indonesian Consulate 3-20 plus stories tower and 1-10 story tower with a total of 300 units, 2. Filinvest next to SM’s parking, 5-10 story tower with about 200 units, 3. Enclaves Fronting SM, tower with about 300 units, 4. Huang Center near Ateneo and S.I.R. road 2-30 plus story tower about 300 units (finished end of 2023), 5. Huang Cebu Landmasters Complex (Davao Golf Club), 30 plus story tower about 500 units (finished by the end of 2025)

Food Center. Quimpo Blvd. 1. Jollibee Luglug, 2. Yellow Fin and Marina Tuna, 2 biggest fresh seafood restaurants, 3. Chow King, 4. Bacolod Chicken, the only one in Mindanao. In front of SM, Penongs and Yakil. Food stalls inside Enclave along Tulip Drive 1. Delongtes, 2. Home Crest, SM annexes Restaurants, (TongYang, Kenny Rogers, Kabalen, Juliet Dap Rest etc.), McArthur M.T.S the original Mindanao Fabulous Food and Groovy live musical bands McDo & Jollibee, SNR (biggest in Mindanao).
