YOU are LOVED, YOU are INCLUDED, YOU are IMPORTANT

On March 16, 2024, the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Youth Apostolate and Missionaries of the Assumption successfully conducted its Parish Youth Lenten Recollection at the Missionaries of the Assumption Farm, Retreat House Purok 6, Tacunan, Davao City with the theme, “YOU are LOVED, YOU are INCLUDED, YOU are IMPORTANT.”

It is commonly a parish activity during Lent to encourage the parishioners to make time to attend a recollection as one way of preparation for the Holy Week. The Youth Lenten Recollection was facilitated by Sr. Elvira “Bing” Alpas, M.A and Sr. Cristine Sillar, M.A highlighted the uniqueness of the youth and its importance and role as vital members of the church. They also emphasized the commitment and participation of the youth in terms of synodality.

Rev. Fr. Leif Simbajon, Parish Priest celebrated the thanksgiving mass for the fruitful and successful recollection. He also expressed his gratitude to the Missionaries of the Assumption for their generosity in facilitating the recollection and welcoming the youth leaders to their place. (Kristelle D.
