Faith and Service Celebrated at 10th Annual OSM Convention
The Order of St. Michael-Tekton Social Development Association, Inc. (Mission Amore) successfully held its 10th Annual Convention at the Arcadia Event Center, Quimpo Boulevard, Davao City, on November 23, 2024. The event gathered faith-driven leaders and dedicated individuals committed to character building and moral transformation within their communities.
One of the event’s highlights was the recognition of JINSP Mary Rose S. Pacana for her invaluable dedication and service, which significantly contributed to the success of the convention. She was awarded the Plaque of Recognition by the Order of St. Michael-Tekton, signed by MGen Wilfredo O. Ona, AFP (Ret.), CFC-OSM Program Head.
Two batches of the Christian Life Program were completed at ICJ-FD in Iligan City earlier this year. The first batch concluded on June 13, 2024, led by Bro. Henry Sedurifa, and the second on June 29, 2024, under the guidance of Bro. Edwin Horlador. These programs exemplify the association’s dedication to creating servant leaders of character who inspire change in their communities.
Brigadier General Allan D. Hambala, Commander of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, welcomed the CFC-OSM team during a courtesy visit, further strengthening partnerships between the association and the military. In his keynote speech, Rev. Fr. Junar De La Victoria inspired the attendees, reminding them of their mission to stand firm in faith and be Christ-like in their endeavors.
“We are not alone in this mission,” Rev. Fr. De La Victoria affirmed. “There are gaps in our lives where we need the light of Christ. His signal is always strong, and the password to connect is having faith.”
The convention concluded with a renewed commitment to the vision of building a righteous and God-fearing nation of servant leaders. As echoed by Fr. De La Victoria, “Our actions today will resonate through the years, as they are the work of Christ.”
