City Employees celebrate Bible Month 2025

In celebration of National Bible Month 2025 this January, representatives from various offices of the City Government of Davao participated in a meaningful Bible Seminar. Pastor Rueland Badoy of the Davao City Ministers Fellowship delivered an inspiring message that provided context for the celebration. He also elaborated on the theme, “God’s Word is the source of HOPE (Harmony, Obedience, Faith, Empowerment).”

Fr. Ritsche J. Gamaya, Director of the Archdiocesan Bible Apostolate of Davao, gave a compelling discussion on the biblical foundation and significance of celebrating the Jubilee Year of Hope. He highlighted the transformative power of the Scriptures by sharing stories of individuals who experienced conversion through God’s Word.

The convenor Churches of the National Bible Month celebration expressed their gratitude for the partnership with the City Government of Davao, especially the Human Resource Management Office led by Ms. Melody Herrera, with the support of her assistant, Ms. Anna Liza Roque. They also acknowledged the invaluable assistance of the Department of Local Government office in Davao City, headed by Ms. Vicky Sarcena and Atty. Jannis Louis Esparcia, City Assistant Administrator for Operations.

The participants reflected on how life’s challenges can be overcome with the enduring hope found in God. They look forward to continuing this impactful activity in the coming years.
