Opening of the Holy Door at San Jose Parish, Pantukan
A historic milestone unfolded at San Jose Parish in Pantukan as it officially opened its Holy Door on January 5, signifying its designation as one of the Pilgrim Churches for the Jubilee Year of Hope. The event was led by the Most Reverend Medil S. Aseo, Bishop of Tagum, together with Rev. Fr. Jorem Regemia, the Parish Priest, and Rev. Fr. Arvin Uriat, Assistant Parish Priest. The solemn celebration was also concelebrated by a deacon, with a multitude of parishioners and pilgrims in attendance.
The celebration began with a Catechism given by Rev. Fr. Freddie Barte, the Diocesan Pastoral Director followed by a reverent procession, uniting clergy and lay faithful in prayerful anticipation. Bishop Aseo led the formal opening of the Holy Door. The faithful were eager to pass through the Holy Door, an act imbued with spiritual significance.
