Honoring the Sick and Those Who Serve
As the world observes the World Day of the Sick 2025, on Tuesday, February 11, we are reminded of the dignity of those who suffer and the moral responsibility to care for them. The Alexian Brothers are among those who exemplify this mission, dedicating their lives to the sick, the poor, and the abandoned. Their work—through the Alexian Brothers Health and Wellness Center and Dalangpanan ni San Alejo—embodies the call to serve with compassion.
Pope Francis urges us to move beyond indifference and embrace solidarity with the suffering. Healthcare is not just a service but a sacred duty. As a community, we must support initiatives that prioritize accessible healthcare and uphold the dignity of the most vulnerable. Whether through prayer, advocacy, or direct action, we can all be instruments of healing. May this day inspire us to do something to build a world where no one is left to suffer alone.
